It was a fine day at Belle Fourche Livestock for the Annual bull sale of Strohshein Angus. What makes this offering stand out among its peers? Nothing but the finest genetics that will improve the maternal, fertility, and docility traits in any and all herds that these bulls are applied to. That's the best thing about these bulls, all while being developed in a way that they can grow up right and last a long time. All the swimmers in the gene pool were nicely covered with a phenotype that was easy on the eyes. They were a balanced set of bulls that were long and green and ready to go to work. Colonel Jaggers got the show on the road and never looked back. Here is the top end:
Tying at the top was Lot 21, 43 Stroh 2411, selling for $5,500 to Lyle Wetz of Vale, South Dakota. This bull is sired by MCC Day Break 2411. He was born Feb. 28, 2015, at 68 pounds and weaned at 710 pounds all while recording EPDs of BW -1.3, WW 54, YW 95, and Milk 23
Lot 31,135 Stroh 92 was also sold for $5,500 to Steve Mueller of Gillette, Wyoming. The bull has EPDs of BW 1.7, WW 53, YW 88, and Milk 23. He is sired by AKA Day Time 92 of 162 and was born March 29, 2015, at 90 pounds and was weaned at 728 pounds.
Dane Dobesh of Belle Fourche, South Dakota got his hands on Lot 16, 42 Stroh 2411, for $5,000. He was born Feb. 28, 2015 at 66 pounds and weaned at 760 pounds. This Daybreak son recorded EPDs of BW -1.2, WW 60, YW 104, and Milk 24.
