TK Angus 30th Annual Production Sale

It was an awesome sale for the Marlatt Families’ 30th Annual TK Angus sale. The weather did look a bit blustery at times during the morning and into early afternoon, but by the time the sale was over things had cleared out nicely.
The bulls in this sale represent many generations of top quality TK Angus females mated to outstanding Angus herd sires. This sale had probably the largest number of Renown sons to sell this year and those bulls were highly sought after. This was a sale you could go to and select a ton of bulls from several large herd sire groups. Investment, Purebred, Contractor Prosperity, just to name a few.
The top selling bull for the day was lot 27, TK Renown D307, a 9/16 son of SAV Renown 3439. This powerhouse beef bull had IMF ratio of 116 REA of 113, $B epd of $162.25 with a yearling wt. of 1408 lb. Minert /Simonson Angus Ranch, Dunning, Nebraska, was the winning bidder at $24,500
Selling at $20,000 was lot 77, TK Renown D518, another powerhouse 9/16 son of SAV Renown going to LBS Angus, Fortuna, North Dakota.
Lot 191, TK Contractor, a 8/16 son of Connealy Contractor with curve bending epds of CED 12, BW .4 WW 73 YW 129 sold to Wyoming buyer Marc Tracy at $16,000.
Lot 121, TK Investment D135, an 8/16 son of Sitz Investment 660Z sold to Bryan Rice, Morrill, Nebraska, for $14,500.
Longtime repeat TK Angus bull buyer, Jim Cozad, purchased lots 74 TK Renown D380 and 101 TK Renown D548, two Renown sons at $14,000 each.
Two bulls sold at $13,500 each.
Lot 87, TK Renown D435, a 9/16 son of Renown sold to CC Angus, Dunning, Nebraska, and lot 59, TK Renown D325, a 8/18 son of Renown sold to Kruger Cattle, Nebraska.
A great day for the Marlatt family and great hospitality. The beef tenderloin lunch is worth driving extra for.
