ZumBrunnen Angus, Lusk, Wyo., and Hytrek Cattle Co., Cheyenne, Wyo., teamed up to host their first annual production sale at the Niobrara County Fairgrounds on Mar. 16, 2015. Even tho this was their first public sale, neither of these operations are new to the seedstock business. Both have been selling bulls by private treaty for several years. As a way to give all their customers a fair chance at their “first pick” they decided to sell this year’s bulls by public auction.
This was an excellent sale for the first time out. A lot of the bulls sold to repeat buyers, but by offering the bulls by public auction, there were quite a few new buyers on hand to sort thru and purchase bulls. The bulls had been very carefully selected for the sale and only the best were offered. The large crowd on hand were pleased with the sale offering and gave the ZumBrunnen and Hytrek outfits a great sale.
