Presho Livestock was home to the 13th Annual Ma & Pa Angus Production Sale (Steve & Deb Mowry). There was a nice crowd on hand of new and repeat buyers.

Steve and Deb were offering nice, deep, thick, big-framed bulls raised in the White River hills fed just right for the rancher.

Topping the sale was Lot 581 selling to Robert Calkins of Ft. Pierre, SD for $5,000. This was a yearling son of HA Magic Maker 4300 out of an Emblazon bred female. He had a 101-lb. birth weight, 730-lb. weaning weight with a 118 WW ratio and 127 gain ratio.

Chip Mitchell of Kadoka, SD gave $4,700 to get Lot 627, a yearling son of RR 0415 Image 3350 out of a OCC Great Plains 943G bred female. He had a 79-lb. birth weight, 751-lb. weaning weight and 122 WW ratio.

Brad Gambill of Johnstown, NE bought two bulls. The first was Lot 715 for $4,500. This was a yearling son of OCC Great Plains 943G,with an 83-lb. birth weight. 724-lb. weaning weight with a 115 WW ratio. Gambill also purchased Lot 572 for $3,750, He was a yearling son of Ma & Pa Feature Presentation out of a Sitz Traveler bred female, with an 86-lb. birth weight, 696-lb. weaning weight with a 113 WW ratio.

Leber Ranch of Colome, SD bought Lot 748 for $3,700. He’s a yearling son of RR 0415 Image 3350 with a 77-lb. birth weight, 641-lb. weaning weight and a 102 WW ratio.

Curtis Temple of Hermosa, SD paid $3,500 to get Lot 705, a yearling son of OCC Great Plains 943G with a 75-lb. birth weight, 680-lb. weanig weight an a 108 WW ratio.
