2011 NILE Gold Buckle Horse Sales set for Oct. 21-22
The NILE Gold Buckle Horse Sales will again feature a lineup of excellent consignments and reputable breeders.
The two days of events and sales begin on Friday, Oct. 21 with the NILE Futurities at 8 a.m. followed by the Gold Buckle Weanling/Yearling Horse Sale presented by Copper Spring Ranch of Bozeman, MT at 1:30 p.m. The sale will offer a Preview at 11 a.m. for buyers to walk through the consignments.
On Saturday, Oct. 22 the spotlight will be on performance horses with the Preview starting at 8 a.m. and the Performance Horse Sale presented by First Interstate Bank-Heights starting at 1:30 p.m.
Both sales will take place in the Rimrock Auto Arena and will offer breeders or trainers tremendous exposure. It’s not only an opportunity to market sale horses, but also an opportunity to market a breeding program and/or promote training skills.
Every horse that sells through the NILE Gold Buckle Weanling/Yearling Sale is eligible to come back the following years and show in the Yearling Futurity, the Two-Year-Old Futurity, or the Three-Year-Old Futurity. These three futurities have an estimated purse of over $8,500. All weanlings purchased in the Weanling/Yearling Sale will be eligible to come back two years later in the Two-Year-Old Futurity if they choose to not enter the Yearling Futurity. All Futurity pay outs are divided between the owner of the horse when sold through the NILE Sale and the current owner/exhibitor with 25 percent of the winnings to the breeder and 75 percent to the exhibitor.
