2012 Full House Elite Performance Horse Sale
November 23, 2012
Craig and Jolene Deveraux and family, along with Jill and Brian Pischke family, held the 3rd Annual Full House Elite Performance Horse sale at the Weston County Fairgrounds on June 9, 2012.
Once again there was a huge, standing-room-only crowd of buyers and spectators on hand for the sale. Serious buyers came a day early to take in the ranch horse competition and preview. And there were plenty of serious buyers; I don’t think there was a motel room to be found in Newcastle the night before the sale.
This sale has fast become the premier consignment performance and ranch horse sale in the upper Midwest. The sale was made up of proven arena and ranch horses along with some great prospects that are ready to go on and compete at any level of competition.
When Craig Deveraux and Jill Pischke were putting this sale together, they focused very hard on not only putting the best horses they had in the sale, but also getting high quality horses from reputable consignors. The horses were very well represented and sold guaranteed to be how they were represented. Perspective buyers were encouraged to visit with the consignors and ride the horses they were interested in.
The top-selling horse on the day was Lot 51, A Peppy San Badger. This 2005 sorrel gelding is by Annies Little Pepper by Peppy San Badger and out of a Si Olena X Doc O’Lena mare. An athletic, seasoned ranch horse that has also been used in Ranch Rodeos, this horse will do it all and the kids can ride him. The horse was consigned by JD Williams and at $15,500 sold to Neil Wanless, Vale, SD
Selling at $14,500 was Lot 27, C Heart Buck Lena, a 2006 Buckskin gelding consigned by Lucas and Melinda Stolhammer. This pretty buckskin is sired by Cee Heart Moon Lena. He has seen lots of miles in the country and has a great start heeling. Jim Keeline, Newcastle, WY was the buyer.
