2012 Full House Elite Performance Horse Sale

Young hands are an important part of the Full House Horse sale as seen here showing Lot 50, Haidas Peppy Chex, in the sale ring.

Craig and Jolene Deveraux and family, along with Jill and Brian Pischke family, held the 3rd Annual Full House Elite Performance Horse sale at the Weston County Fairgrounds on June 9, 2012.

Once again there was a huge, standing-room-only crowd of buyers and spectators on hand for the sale. Serious buyers came a day early to take in the ranch horse competition and preview. And there were plenty of serious buyers; I don’t think there was a motel room to be found in Newcastle the night before the sale.

This sale has fast become the premier consignment performance and ranch horse sale in the upper Midwest. The sale was made up of proven arena and ranch horses along with some great prospects that are ready to go on and compete at any level of competition.

When Craig Deveraux and Jill Pischke were putting this sale together, they focused very hard on not only putting the best horses they had in the sale, but also getting high quality horses from reputable consignors. The horses were very well represented and sold guaranteed to be how they were represented. Perspective buyers were encouraged to visit with the consignors and ride the horses they were interested in.

The top-selling horse on the day was Lot 51, A Peppy San Badger. This 2005 sorrel gelding is by Annies Little Pepper by Peppy San Badger and out of a Si Olena X Doc O’Lena mare. An athletic, seasoned ranch horse that has also been used in Ranch Rodeos, this horse will do it all and the kids can ride him. The horse was consigned by JD Williams and at $15,500 sold to Neil Wanless, Vale, SD

Selling at $14,500 was Lot 27, C Heart Buck Lena, a 2006 Buckskin gelding consigned by Lucas and Melinda Stolhammer. This pretty buckskin is sired by Cee Heart Moon Lena. He has seen lots of miles in the country and has a great start heeling. Jim Keeline, Newcastle, WY was the buyer.

Lot 20, Top Hand Cook, a 2007 blue roan gelding sired by Waldos Top Hand. This foundation-bred gelding goes back to Continental Fly and Drifts Chip on the top side and Happy Hancock Begger on the bottom side. Not only does this horse have the looks, he can head, heel and do any ranch job you ask. The horse was consigned by Alvaro and Sophia Quarter Horses and Craig Deveraux and sold for $14,000 to JR Olson, Newcastle, WY.

Mark Lovitt, Tryon, NE bid $13,500 to own Lot 34, Flipmia Rhinestone, a beautiful 2006 palomino gelding sired by Flipmia, a grandson of Colonel Freckles out of a Master Hand bred mare. This horse was consignor Zane Marty’s “go to” horse the past few years and has a great start in heading, heeling and calf roping, as well as all aspects of ranch use.

Lot 4, Docs Frosty Hank, a 2000 red roan gelding by Driften Double Hank X Frosty Feature consigned from Craig Deveraux Family sold for $12,500 to Josie Vogal, Riverton, WY

Lot 21, Doctor Dakota Black, a 2004 black gelding by Dakota Whitchdoctor consigned from Joe Wood, sold for $12,500 to Laura Miller Kinney, Toponas, CO.

Lot 26, Hollywoodredfeather from Craig Deveraux Family sold for $12,500 to Craig Miles, Thedford, NE. This 2004 red dun gelding is sired by KB Red Feather and goes back to Doc Bar and Suger Bars on the bottom side.

Lot 15, Quickasacat, a 2006 sorrel gelding sired by Cats Merada x High Brow Cat and out of a Docs Hickory mare consigned from Jill Pischke sold to JoAnn Smith, Shelbyville, TN for $12,000.
