2012 KBHB Bucking Horse & Bull Sale is Feb. 1

The 26th Annual KBHB Bucking Horse and Bull Sale will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 10 a.m. The sale will feature 50 head of ranch-raised bucking horses, including the coming five-year-old colt crop raised by Sutton Rodeos. These colts are sired by studs Checkers, Gunsmoke, Jaws and Wolf Den – all sons of Justin Boots. The mares of these colts have produced top-quality bucking stock. There will be 30 head of outside consigned bucking horses including some very good futurity prospects.

These colts are the right age to compete in bucking horse futurities. The futurities in Faith, SD, and Las Vegas, NV, both had colts in the top final five that were purchased from this sale.

Thirty head of young bucking bulls from proven herds will also be offered for sale.

Bucking stock will arrive at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in Rapid City, SD, on Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 31, for viewing.

Contestants enter Feb. 1 at 8:30 a.m. at the Arena. There will be added prize money in the three roughstock events. Animals will be bucked on the day of the sale.
