2012 Wyoming Master Woolgrower program begins Jan. 17

The Wyoming Master Woolgrower Program is set to begin on Jan. 17, 2012 in Casper. The program consists of five sessions and will be packed with great information for sheep producers. Partnering with University of Wyoming (UW) Extension on this program is the Wyoming Wool Growers and Mountain States Lamb Cooperative. The program is also partially funded by the Western Center for Risk Management Education.

• Jan. 17 – Goal Setting, Financial Recordkeeping and Financial Health; John Hewlett

• Jan. 24 – Enterprise Analysis and Production Records; Bridger Feuz and Hudson Hill

• Jan. 31 – Marketing, Range Management, Economics of Predator Control; Producer panel, Barton Stam, Ben Rashford

• Feb. 7 – Scientific Tools for Ram Selection, Ultrasound, Herd Health; Scott Lake, Hudson Hill and Bridger Feuz

• Feb. 14 – Strategic Risk Management; John Hewlett

All sessions will take place from 2-5 p.m. in Casper, unless participants wish to rotate the five-session course between Casper, Kaycee and Douglas.
