2014 NILE sanctioned Ranch Rodeo circuit announced
Billings, Mont. – This year eight rodeos from across the region have sanctioned with NILE. These sanctioned rodeos have the opportunity to send their top placing team to compete at the NILE Ranch Rodeo Finals in October.
The circuit of NILE sanctioned ranch rodeos kicks off June 21 with two rodeos on the eastern side of Montana. The 8th annual Custer Ranch Rodeo will be held at 2 p.m. in the Custer Arena in Custer, Montana and is preceded by a Ranch Horse Competition and Youth Ranch Rodeo. The Neal Hermanson Memorial Ranch Rodeo at the Richland County Fairgrounds in Sidney, Montana begins at 2 p.m. and is held in conjunction with a ranch horse competition.
The third week of July provides three opportunities for teams to compete in NILE sanctioned ranch rodeos. Friday, July 18 the Fourth Annual Forsyth Ranch Rodeo will be held at the Rosebud-Treasure County Fairgrounds in Forsyth, Montana with a 7 p.m. performance. This ranch rodeo is held in conjunction with the Rosebud-Treasure County Fair, promising four days of activities and events for all ages, including Charlie Daniels Band concert.
Saturday, July 19, cowboys and spectators have their choice of two ranch rodeos on the western side of Montana. The Marias Fair Ranch Rodeo in Shelby begins at noon with a PRCA rodeo and concert by Chance McKinney held in the evening. The Bozeman Roundup Ranch Rodeo is held at 6:30 p.m. at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds-Anderson Outdoor Arena and is preceded by Big Sky Thunder Draft Horse Exhibition and ranch rodeo calcutta.
The Big Sky Roundup Ranch Rodeo and Glasgow Rodeo Committee Old Mill Ranch Rodeo are both slated for Saturday, Aug. 2. Held during the Montana State Fair in Great Falls, Montana, the 2nd Annual Big Sky Roundup Ranch Rodeo begins at 11 am. The Glasgow Rodeo Committee Old Mill Ranch Rodeo will begin with a Calcutta at 4 p.m. followed by ranch rodeo performance. This rodeo is part of a host of activities and events of the Northeast Montana Fair and Rodeo and will be held at the Northeast Montana Fairgrounds in Glasgow.
The 2014 Wyoming State Finals Ranch Rodeo will be Saturday, Aug. 16 at 1 p.m. in the Ford Grandstand Arena on the Wyoming State Fairgrounds in Douglas, Wyoming. Be sure to stick around after the rodeo for the Chris Cagle concert in the evening.
The PCS Club Ranch Rodeo is the final sanctioned rodeo for 2014. Slated for Sunday, Aug. 31, this ranch rodeo will begin at 2 p.m. at the Traffton Arena in Malta, Mont.
The teams represent the sanctioned rodeo that they took the top place in and participate in the NILE Ranch Rodeo Finals as the very best teams in the region who embody real working ranches.
The winning team at the NILE Ranch Rodeo Finals has the opportunity to compete at the Working Ranch Cowboys Association’s World Finals held in November in Amarillo, Texas.
