22nd annual Casey Tibbs Foundation Tribute Dinner is Nov. 12

On Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011 the 22nd annual Tribute Dinner honoring South Dakota ranching and rodeo greats will be held at the Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center in Fort Pierre, SD.

The Tribute Dinner is held on an annual basis as a rodeo center fund-raiser to honor and celebrate the accomplishments of those rodeo and ranching individuals, families and animals whose contributions to South Dakota’s notable western heritage and culture is well recognized. Nominations for these honorees are taken throughout the year and honorees are selected in August of each year.

This year’s honorees include Kenny Badger, Past Rodeo Great; Gary Zilverberg, Rodeo Great; The Tope Sisters, Past Cowgirls Great; Darrell and Marlene Griffith, Ranch Family Great; EW Weisel, Rodeo Promoter; and Korkow Rodeo’s “Slippery” Animal Athlete Great.

Within the rodeo center an informative and pictorial “Wall of Fame” displays all of the honorees that have been honored over the last 21 years.

Dinner tickets for the Tribute Dinner event can be purchased by phone or by visiting the rodeo center. Advance purchase is required as seating is limited to 250.
