A summary of grassland advocate Allan Savory’s presentation available
In September, SDSU Extension and the South Dakota Grassland Coalition hosted Allan Savory, a globally recognized advocate for improving systems health through grassland conservation and biodiversity enhancement through the use of livestock, to visit with South Dakota landowners.
A summary of Savory’s workshop and discussion points is available on iGrow.org. More than 700 attended the seminars held Sept. 10 and 11 at South Dakota State University and a private ranch.
Prior to Savory’s Sept. 10 speech, five years of South Dakota Leopold Conservation award recipients were recognized. To view videos which feature these growers and their grassland management practices, visit sdgrass.org.
