After ‘Atlas’: what’s next?

SDSU Extension is working with the South Dakota Stockgrowers Association, South Dakota Cattlemen’s, South Dakota Department of Agriculture and local veterinarians to bring educational programming to producers in some of the hardest hit areas following the October blizzard. These will be two hour meetings with a meal included. Four main topics will be covered, including “Financial Tools and Cow Leases-What’s Fair,” “Cattle Health and Nutrition After the Storm,” “Emotional Well-being,” and “Community Development and Business Assistance.”

These will be held in four locations over a two day period. Be watching for more detailed information to come and please plan to attend at the location nearest you.

Dec 17: Faith Legion Hall, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.



Dec. 17: New Underwood Community Center, 5:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m.

Dec. 18: Union Center Community Center 11:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m.



Dec. 18: Newell School Multi-purpose Room 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
