Ag in Classroom seeks Teacher of Year nominees

Do you know an elementary or middle school teacher who does a good job incorporating agricultural information into his or her every day classroom activities? If so, you can nominate the teacher to be named the South Dakota Ag in the Classroom (SDAITC) 2016 Agriculture Teacher of the Year.

All certified Kindergarten through 8th grade teachers presently teaching in South Dakota are eligible to be recognized with this honor. Students, colleagues, administrators, parents or South Dakota agricultural organizations may nominate a teacher. A teacher may also nominate himself/herself.

Nomination information is available on the SDAITC website, http://www.agclassroom.org/sd/, or by calling executive director Ann Price at 605-853-6040. Nominations are due on or before March 1, 2016. The winner will be announced and recognized at an awards ceremony in during National Ag Week, March 14-18, 2016.
