All welcome to worship near Meadow, S.D.
Meeting organizers invite everyone to join them for fun, fellowship and worship at the upcoming Ranchers Camp Meeting. The event will be held southeast of Meadow, S.D., July 26-27.
According to the group’s president, Les Longwood, Lemmon, S.D., the event is open to the public and even those who are not involved in or familiar with ranching would enjoy the non-denominational worship and friendly atmosphere. “Regardless of your walk in life, you are welcome to join us. The services are not just for ranchers,” he said.
The first worship service will be July 26 at 7 p.m. followed by a light supper.
On Sunday, July 27, the schedule is as follows:
4 p.m. – Sunday School (for all ages)
5 p.m. – Potluck supper
6:30 p.m. – Message and worship
Longwood said the speaker for both Saturday night and Sunday evening will be Dave Morrison from Interior, S.D. Morrison ranches and works as a rodeo contractor and producer in addition to pastoring four churches in his home community.
Everyone is also welcome to take part in clean-up day on Thursday, July 24.
The event will be held at the Darrell Lyon Campground. From the South junction of Hwys 73 and 20 (near Indian Creek Church, south of Meadow corner), travel 6 and one-half miles east, then one-half mile north to find the Darrell Lyon Campground.
