July 16, 2013
The North Dakota Stockmen's Association (NDSA) welcomes Annie Allen as its new communications director. As communications director, Allen will serve as editor and advertising manager of the Stockman magazine, the North Dakota Cattle Directory and other association publications. She will also serve as an NDSA spokesperson and lobbyist and help coordinate the Spring Roundups.
Allen graduated from Bismarck State College (BSC) with a degree in graphic design and communications in 2013 and lives southwest of Mandan, N.D., on her family farm and ranch. She was active in FFA in high school, competing in the Agriculture Communications Career Development Event at the National FFA Convention. She also served as the state Post-Secondary Agricultural Students Organization secretary while attending BSC.
"I am excited to be a part of the NDSA staff," Allen said. "It doesn't seem like I am going to work, because I get to do something I love for the industry I love. I look forward to meeting more members and working for the North Dakota beef industry."
"We are proud to welcome Annie to our team and look forward to what she will bring to the NDSA," said NDSA Executive Vice President Julie Ellingson.
