Bakers Lemar Angus Annual Performance Production Sale

Dan Piroutek

Jean and Larry Vignaroli of Claremont, WY

The sun was shining as a large crowd of cattlemen walked through the pens and gathered at the sale barn before the sale. The sale had been postponed and moved from the ranch into St. Onge Livestock. Leo and Mike want to publically thank St. Onge Livestock for their help after all the storms this spring.

The Lemar Angus herd has been noted for being the maternal herd of the Dakotas. Leo Baker believes in breeding trouble free cows, with calving ease as a must. Leo and Mike, along with the help of their herdsman Bob Whitaker, raise all the cattle on their ranch north of St. Onge.

The Bakers have many customers that have been with them for several years – like the Sourdough Ranch from Hulett, WY, who competed again with the registered breeders for some of the top bulls.
