Barstow Angus Ranch 19th Annual Rock Solid Bull Sale

It was another beautiful spring day for the Barstow Angus Ranch bull sale held at the ranch, near Springview, NE on April 8, 2010. Neri and Patty Barstow presented a very uniform, thick set of bulls in this, their 19th annual bull sale.

The bulls were sired by sons of some of the Angus breed’s leading sires and raised under practical conditions. None of the bulls had seen creep feed. They were conditioned on a high roughage ration, and developed in large hillside lots to ensure plenty of exercise and soundness.

The bulls were very well accepted by the large crowd of new and repeat buyers in the seats giving the Barstow family a very successful sale.



Topping the sale was Lot 2, Barstow Final Answer W29, a 2/8/09 bull sired by SAV Final Answer 0035 selling to Allen and Zenda Haase of Valentine, NE for $11,000.

Lot 9, Barstow Final Answer W73, a 2/16/09 bull by SAV Final Answer 0035, sold to Bruning Farms of Bruning, NE for $8,750.



Lot 4, Barstow Final Answer W39, a 2/11/09 bull also sired by Final Answer, sold to Todd Boettcher of Spencer, NE for $6,000.

Lot 1, Barstow Final Answer W15, a 2/4/09 Final Answer son, sold to Todd Rothluetner of Kilgor, NE for $5,400.

Three bulls sold for $5,000.

Lot 19, Barstow All Around W96, a 2/24/09 bull sired by Connealy All Around, sold to Leon Weichman of Stewart, NE.

Lot 26, Barstow In Focus W22, a 2/6/09 bull sired by Mytty In Focus, sold to Gordon Simonson of Perdum, NE.

Lot 43, Barstow Industry W55, a 2/14/09 bull by Connealy Industry, sold to Leon Weichman of Stewart, NE.
