Bowman, N.D., to host high school rodeo finals
The Bowman Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the North Dakota High School Finals for the 29 time, June 7 – 11, 2017 and they have a spot waiting just for you at the Dakota Winds Arena! Sit back, enjoy the entertainment, and cheer on the hard-working students that made their way to the 2017 State Finals. Their efforts will not disappoint spectators as they vie for a position at the National Finals. You will want to be sure you pick a comfortable spot in the stands, the weekend is packed with events: five performances, queen pageant, vendors, entertainment and more, there is something for everyone. They have also added a reigning cow horse event on Wednesday evening. High School rodeo contestants that make it to the state finals compete in two preliminary rounds Friday and Saturday, trying to qualify for the finals held on Sunday afternoon. The top four competitors at the state level are qualified for the National High School Rodeo Finals in July. In addition to all of the rodeo action, vendors, concessions, Cowboy Church and entertainment are all available throughout rodeo weekend in Bowman.
