A Brazilian meatpacker shipped beef to the United States on Sept. 25. Marfrig Global Foods SA, a JBS rival, was the first packing company to send fresh beef to the U.S. from Brazil since the South American country was approved by USDA for export, according to a Reuters story.
JBS SA, a rival company that is also one of the big four packers in the United States, shipped a container of beef from Brazil to the United States the next day, according to Rueters.
