The Brenner Family hosted their annual bull sale at Farmers Livestock on Feb. 16, 2011 to a full house crowd of bidders and buyers.

The goal at Brenner Angus is to raise trouble-free cattle that have good udders, calve on their own, breed back and bring in a big calf at weaning time. The cattle are not pampered and the bulls need to have good feet and legs. The bulls offered in the sale were in good working condition, they had not been over-fed and should be able to go out and work in the pastures without falling apart.

There were bulls to fit most any operation. Offering both Red and Black Angus, yearling, fall yearling and two-year-old bulls, this is a one-stop sale for many buyers.

Topping the sale was Lot 33, TBS Capital Cntry 0254, a 4/15/10 son of TBS Capital Cntry 8048 with EPDs of BW +1.2, WW +41, YW + 77 and Milk +13. This bull sold to Darin Dockter, Medina, ND, for $6,000.
