Brooks Chalky Butte Angus Ranch 2010 Production Sale

The Brooks outfit was greeted with a beautiful spring like day for their annual production sale held at the Bowman (ND) Auction Market on April 3. Steve and his crew presented a great set of bulls for the large crowd of both new and repeat buyers.

The bulls were in great working condition with balanced traits in all of the economically important traits that the commercial bull buyer is looking for. Nearly half of the bulls in the sale were suitable for use on yearling heifers. The bulls were fed for longevity and soundness.

The commercial heifers in the sale were consigned by some of the reputation commercial herds that have been using Brooks Angus bulls. This was an excellent set of commercial heifers. Very uniform from the first pen to the last.

The top selling bull was Lot 41, Brooks Meat Packer 9926, a 3/18/09 bull sired by Feltons Meat Packer 62 that sold to Fuoss Angus of Draper, SD for $10,000.
