Steve Brooks and the rest of the crew at Brooks Chalky Butte Angus brought a great set of bulls to town for their annual production sale. The Bowman Auction Market has a huge seating area it was hard to find a seat at the start of the sale.

The bulls came to town in great working condition and are sired by the top trait-leading sires in the Angus breed. They were fed for soundness and longevity and nearly half the offering would be suitable for use on first-calf heifers. The registered heifers were out of the replacement pen and should go on to make excellent brood cows.

The commercial heifers in the sale were consigned by some of the reputation commercial herds that have been using Brooks Angus bulls. This was an excellent set of commercial heifers – very uniform from the first pen to the last.

This was a very fast-paced sale with active bidding from start to finish. There were no extreme tops on the bulls and bulls sold all day in price ranges to fit any operation.
