Brucellosis Coordination Team to Meet in Pinedale

The Governor’s Brucellosis Coordination Team will meet Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm at the Sublette County Library in Pinedale, WY.

During the meeting, the team will hear updates on current brucellosis cases in cattle and bison herds in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will discuss the results of their surveillance for 2015-16 for both hunter-harvested and feedground elk. A report on the public forums related to the Brucellosis Management Action Plans for elk herd units in the region will also be presented. An update on brucellosis surveillance in elk in Montana will be presented by Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks. University of Wyoming researchers will provide the latest information on their work. There will also be a brief report on the National Academy of Sciences study of Brucellosis in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.

The meeting is open to the public, and a public comment period is scheduled.
