Bryce Miller saddle bronc rider recovering from broken leg

Saddle bronc rider Bryce Miller, a five-time qualifier for the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, will return to competition Oct. 13-16 at the NILE ProRodeo in Billings, MT, after missing more than six months while recovering from a broken leg.

Miller, of Buffalo, SD, broke both bones in his right leg about three inches above the ankle while competing in RodeoHouston March 20. He underwent surgery the next day to insert a rod and four screws. “It’s been slow going,” Miller said. “I probably could have come back this week, but it just seemed to make more sense to start clean at Billings (the first big rodeo of the 2011 season). I’m really starting to get the itch to compete.”
