Casey Donahew Band to perform at 2015 Black Hills Stock Show®
Texas music’s hottest act, The Casey Donahew Band, will be rocking the James Kjerstad Event Center at the Central States Fairgrounds Friday, Feb. 6, at the Stock Show Stampede as part of the 56th Annual Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo®.
The band named after lead singer, Casey Donahew, began its musical career playing in Texas clubs before moving on to headline national tours and riling red dirt country fans with its raw lyrics that amplify the western way.
“Standoff,” Donahew’s most recent album, debuted in April at No. 1 on iTunes’ country chart, No. 7 on Billboard’s and No. 32 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart. A remarkable feat considering most of Donahew’s music has limited airplay on mainstream radio. Internet radio stations, YouTube channels and a reputation of high-energy live performances has made the Casey Donahew Band a “must-see” country act.
Though he seems like a natural born performer, Donahew actually fell into music gradually. He grew up on a farm the first few years of his life and quickly grew to love riding and team roping, a sport he still enjoys.
Black Hills Stock Show® General Manager, Ron Jeffries, said, “The Casey Donahew Band comes highly recommended and bringing new entertainment to the Stock Show will help grow the event.”
Dueling Pianos will kick off the night at 7 p.m. with The Casey Donahew Band taking the stage at 9 p.m. Tickets are available now at the Black Hills Stock Show website for $15, or at the door for $20.
