Cattlemen thank troops with steak dinner
The McCook-Miner-Lake affiliate of the South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association is showing their appreciation to the troops of B Battery 147th Field Artillery Unit of Salem, SD through an All-American steak meal on January 31st. Over 180 troops are enlisted in the Salem Unit, which returned home from Iraq on October 25, 2008 after one year of active service. The troops will now return to regular National Guard status.
Clyde Sandine of the McCook-Miner-Lake affiliate said, “This is our chance to show our troops how much we appreciate them and welcome them back to South Dakota with a hearty steak meal.”
Members of the South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association will be present at the Sioux Falls National Guard Armory on the afternoon of January 31st to prepare and serve the steak dinner to the newly returned troops.
