Central States Fair 2011 grandstand line-up

RAPID CITY – The Central States Fair is pleased to announce the grandstand line-up for the 2011 Central States Fair, Aug. 19-28 in Rapid City. “We’ve secured a great mix of rock and country,” said Fair Manager Ron Jeffries. “It’s always our goal to please the largest population base we can and this year I think we’ve succeeded.”
REO Speedwagon will open the Black Hills Power Concert Series, taking the stage Sunday, Aug. 21. With such classics as Time For Me to Fly, Riding the Storm Out and Take It On The Run, this night will be full of classics that will get you up and on your feet. Opening for REO is Firefall featuring Just Remember I Love You and You Are the Woman. Classic rock continues on Monday with Creedence Clearwater Revisited.
Tuesday night turns to country with superstar Josh Turner. He’ll play his string of number one hits including Long Black Train, Would You Go With Me, and Your Man. Opening for Turner is comedian Dick Hardwick. Headlining Wednesday night is Little Big Town with their number one single Little White Church. Opening for them are the Bellamy Brothers with a string of number one hits.
Motorcross races and a the NAPA/Johnson Machine Demolition Derby will open the fair Aug. 19 and 20, and rounding out the nine nights of grandstand entertainment is three nights of PRCA Range Days Rodeo, August 25-27.
