Chris Jensen wins AQHA World Championship
Chris Jensen of Lance Creek, WY recently competed in the AQHA Select World Championship show in Amarillo, TX. Jensen and his stallion “Playzorro” won the world in team roping-heading and was 12th in the World Standings in tie-down calf roping. Competing on his gelding “Master Hot Chex,” Jensen won sixth in breakaway, seventh in tie-down calf roping and 12th in team roping-heeling.
Competitors must qualify throughout the year to be eligible to go to the World Show. At the World show there is a preliminary round and the top 15 make it back to the finals. Jensen qualified seven times, and made it to the finals five times.
