Days of ’76 Museum groundbreaking is Sept. 28 in Deadwood

Friends, supporters, colleagues, members of the community, elected officials and civic leaders are cordially invited to the ground breaking for construction of the new Days of ’76 Museum on Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. on the museum site adjacent to the rodeo grounds in Deadwood.

Planning, development and fundraising for the new building to safely house important historic collections have been underway for four years. The museum board and staff are grateful to the City of Deadwood and to the many funders and supporters who worked so hard to get to this day. The grand opening for the $5.3 million project is scheduled for spring 2012.
