The Evenson family from Hettinger, ND held their 29th annual sale at Lemmon Livestock on March 19th. It was a bittersweet day as the family remembered and dedicated the sale to Tanner Strand, grandson of Bill and Eleanora Evenson, who was tragically killed in a car accident last October. Lots of family and close friends of Tanner were in attendance at the sale and one can’t help but believe Tanner was there in spirit.
The cattle were in fine form on sale day and quality ran deep, all the way to the end of the offering. Evensons offered bulls with some of the highest weaning weights in the country. The bulls had exceptional carcass traits with some excellent ribeye and marbling figures.
