Extension/4-H information booth part of 2008 South Dakota State Fair
The South Dakota Cooperative Extension Service will host an Extension/4-H Information Center at the South Dakota State Fair.
Located in a camper near an inflatable SDSU Campanile, staffers will operate the center from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day of the fair, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Labor Day. The center will be located in the parking lot north of the armory, just off Third Street.
4-H families and the general public are encouraged to stop at the center to get information about 4-H and Extension offerings and events during the fair. The information center is where youth livestock exhibitors can pick up their show T-shirts.
Information about 4-H and other Extension programs and services will be available. In addition, handouts and specific information will be available at the center on a variety of topics including high input costs for farmers, increased feed costs for livestock producers, and tips for individuals and families specific to managing increased fuel and food costs.
The booth will also be a one-stop site providing the information 4-H youth and their families will need to confirm the locations, times, and other information for all 4-H events taking place during the state fair.
