Nestled in the Green Valley near Ree Heights, SD is the winding Elm Creek. In the heart of the flowing creek and graceful hills is the Fawcett family, a group of people dedicated to raising quality Hereford Cattle. Since the beginning, the Fawcett’s have favored the Hereford breed for their maternal traits, hardiness and gentle disposition. For generations, the Fawcett’s have raised these cattle, and in 1985, the Fawcett’s Elm Creek Ranch was established.

Known for outstanding Hereford genetics that perform in a pasture setting and in the show ring, the Fawcett family works diligently to stay on the cutting-edge of the breed. Today, the operation is owned and operated by Keith and Cheryl Fawcett, along with their children Daniel and wife Kari, Erin, Kristin and Matt, and Keith’s parents, Robert and Marjean. While their purebred operation wasn’t officially open for business until the mid-80’s, the Fawcett family has had Hereford cattle since their homestead was first established over 100 years ago.
