Funds available throughout Meade County
In an effort to promote economic development, human services, education, cultural enhancement or environmental enhancement, the Sturgis Community Foundation Committee will be making funds available to tax-exempt entities in Meade County. Applications are available at First Western Bank in Sturgis, and must be returned to the bank by February 27th.
The first distributions from this fund were awarded seventeen years ago, and since then over $261,000 have been disbursed in two hundred ninety-four checks to Meade County non-profit organizations. Contributions establishing the original trust fund came from individuals and businesses in Sturgis, as well as First Western Bank and the McKnight Foundation.
For questions or further information, please contact any of the following Committee members: Kathy Behrens, Valoree Blake, Cindy Iverson, Brett Lynass, Bruce McFarland, or Marvin Smith.
