Gaaskjolen Gelbvieh & Angus ‘Building with the Basics’ Production Sale
Gaaskjolen Gelbvieh and Angus, owned and operated by Keith and Roxi Gaaskjolen and family, once again came to town with a strong set of bulls. The offering really only represents less than 50 percent of their calf crop, but they had bulls that would fit any operation. The -6˚ temperature and 20 mile per hour wind made viewing the bulls somewhat of a challenge. Luckily, most people came well prepared for weather in the northeastern part of the state.
Despite harsh conditions and a long winter, the Gaaskjolens had a great crowd of buyers with both new and repeat buyers from years past.
Top selling bull was Lot 41, a SAV 004 Predominant 4438 son, that sold for to Scott Bradac, Marmarth, ND, for $5,000.
Lot 1, a DCSF Post Rock Granite 200P2 son, sold for $4,500 and was purchased by Honeyman Gelbvieh, Regent, ND.
Lot 7, a MAR Midland Empire 3092 son, sold for $4,250 to Blaine Mollman, McIntosh, SD.
Lot 25, a ZJG U8193 son, also sold for $4,250 and was purchased by Bernell Appledorn, Gladstone, ND.
Lot 37 a SAV Final Answer 0035 son, sold for $4,000 to David Storm, Meadow, SD.
Lot 26, a ZJG U8193 son, sold for $4,000 to Larry Dolezal, Belvidere, SD.
Lot 21, a LT Bandwagon 3105 son, sold for $4,000 to Scott Bradac, Marmarth, ND.
