Gallatin Beef Producers to hold luncheon
The Gallatin Beef Producers will be holding their Annual Educational Luncheon and Business Meeting Jan. 7 at Headwaters Livestock in Three Forks. The event, which begins at 11:30 a.m. with a luncheon, always attracts a large turnout of producers from Southwest Montana.
Emily Lockard, Gallatin Agricultural Agent and secretary of the Gallatin Beef Producers, said speakers include Don Seifert, newly elected Gallatin County commissioner; Errol Rice, executive vice president of Montana Stockgrowers; Dr. Martin Zaluski, state veterinarian with the Montana Department of Livestock; Dr. Kelsey Baver, DVM, Sorensen Veterinary Hospital, Belgrade, and Dr. Eric Belasco, Montana State University professor of ag economics. In addition, there will be a report on the Gallatin County 4-H bred and fed carcass results and the producers a business meeting.
Producers are asked to confirm reservations by Jan. 2 to the Gallatin Extension office at 406.388.3213. The cost is $18.
On January 9, the Gallatin Beef Producers will hold their annual banquet at the Riverside Country Club in Bozeman. Tickets for the banquet will be on sale at the Gallatin County Extension Office, 201 W. Madison, Suite 300, Belgrade; and at the educational luncheon. The cost is $50 per person.
Brent Sinnema of Manhattan is president of Gallatin Beef Producers and Rich Paugh of Belgrade is vice President. Bob Dewit is the treasurer.
