14 Herefords – $2,450; 30 Angus – $2,650
Gant Polled Herefords and Angus owned by Mark and Dennis Gant hosted a large crowd for their annual bull sale Feb. 22. The large crowd of repeat buyers and many new buyers enjoyed the nice weather and a very strong set of two-year-old bulls.
The top selling Hereford bull was Lot 15, LV Positive Plus, selling for $3,100 to Bruns Ranch of Plankinton, SD. Lot 1, WSF LCR Onstar Son, went to Dale and Dave Backes of Platte, SD for $3,000. Lot 17, Prospector Son, went to John Rasmussen of Platte SD for $3,000. Another Onstar went to Tom Stratman of Springfield, SD for $2,750. Volume buyers were Backes Ranch of Platte and Alfred Schelske of Reliance, SD.
