Gardening Day for kids at Belle Fourche museum
June 1, 2016
The Tri-State Museum and Visitor Center, 415 5th Avenue, Belle Fourche, South Dakota, will hold a Gardening Day on Saturday, June 11 from 10 to noon.
Kids of all ages are encouraged to come help the museum plant a "Children's Garden" in a plot in front of the museum and plant flowers in wooden barrels around the Johnny Spaulding Cabin as well as flowers in containers on the museum and visitor center's deck.
There is no cost for attending the event; those who come will also get to see a short film on gardening and will do a craft to make floral necklaces, time permitting. Refreshments will be served.
Participants are encouraged to dress for gardening and to bring gardening gloves if they have them. Tools will be provided. Please call the Tri-State at 723-1200 if you have children who plan to attend.
