Goehring names pesticide enforcement supervisor
Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring has appointed Tyler Kralicek as the pesticide enforcement supervisor in the North Dakota Department of Agriculture (NDDA).
“Tyler’s ranch background, his education and his outreach work with the North Dakota State University Extension Service made him the outstanding candidate for this position,” Goehring said.
A Manning native, Kralicek attended Casper (WY) College and graduated from Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR, with a degree in agriculture. Returning to North Dakota, he was a regional representative for a major manufacturer of feed supplements and later the Burleigh County extension agent for agriculture and natural resources.
Goehring said Kralicek will direct a seven-person staff, including six field inspectors. He will report to Jim Gray, director of NDDA’s Pesticide and Fertilizer Division.
Under state law and an agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, NDDA regulates the registration, distribution, sale, storage, and use of pesticides in North Dakota.
