Thank you, Tri-State Livestock News readers, for helping Grayson Chapeau exceed his goal for “pop tops” he wanted to donate to the Ronal McDonald house.

From the “Prayers for Grayson Chapeau” Facebook page:

Many of you may know that Grayson will be making a delivery to the Ronald McDonald House in Minneapolis during the first week in October. We have been collecting and also spreading the word about our hopes to collect 150 POUNDS of pop tabs (soup can pull tabs, veggie and fruit can tabs, energy drink tabs, beer tabs, tennis ball container pull tabs and the list goes on!) Yesterday we tallied our current collection as we had a trunk full of pull tabs delivered, thanks to the readers of Tri-state Livestock News and The Fence Post, our goal was smashed!

So anyway, we just wanted to encourage you that your pop tabs (and other pull tabs) do add up and make a difference! Small bag or large bag they all are needed.

So what is the total you ask? Drum roll please… 265 pounds! 265 pounds, people! That is incredible! The last time we collected and donated we had 86 pounds!

We will continue collecting during the last week of September. So if you are local and you are wondering where you can drop them off, you can drop off at Spearfish Hospital, Spearfish McDonald, Spearfish Eye Care, All About Potential Chiropractic office, or our house. The Middle School in Spearfish is also collecting.

Also, if we don’t get your pop tabs collected this round we will be making another donation in the spring.

Thank you everyone for pulling together to make a difference.
