Junior Judging Contest
One hundred seventy 4-H and FFA members from 46 teams and three states competed in the Sioux Empire Farm Show Junior Judging Contest Jan. 30.
Sioux Center FFA was the high team with 1,434 points. LeMars FFA 1 placed second with 1,379 points.
Third through 10th place teams were Pipestone County 4-H, Miner County 4-H 1, Luverne-Adrian FFA 1, George-Little Rock FFA 2, Turner County 4-H 2, Woodbury County 4-H 1, Central Lyon FFA 1 and Harris-Lake Park FFA 1.
The high individual was Quinn Byker, Sioux Center FFA, with 378 points. Colton Raatz, Pipestone County 4-H, placed second.
Third through 10th place individuals were Shayla Post, Sioux Center FFA; Blake Olson, Turner County 4-H 1; Tyler Vohs, Woodbury County 4-H 1; Cole Koster, George-Little Rock FFA 2; Abby Connor, Miner County 4-H 1; Sami Nordmann, Turner County 4-H 2; Layne Lunstra, Turner County 4-H 2; and Dylan Mente, Luverne-Adrian FFA 1.
