The Kalianoff Family along with Kelly and Michelle Dahl and Doug Klein brought a high quality set of Red Angus, Gelbvieh and Balancer bulls to Kist Livestock for their annual production sale. These three operations focus not only on breeding good looking cattle but they keep a sharp eye on EPD’s and carcass information as well. D Bar D Gelbvieh and Rosehill Gelbvieh were involved as guest consignors.
The high selling bull came from the Red Angus side, lot 6 is a low birth, high growth son of their herd sire RRSH Stone Cold, Gerald Kadrmas of Dodge, N.D., paid $7,000 for this bull. Doug Beard of Bowbells, N.D., paid $6,500 for lot 55 a purebred Gelbvieh bull with an actual BW of 83 and an Adj. YW of 1,354. Another Gelbvieh bull is next at $5,750, lot 50 was purchased by Schoenhard Ranch of Steele, N.D. $5,750 was also the final price for lot 1. Again from the Red Angus division, this low birth heifer bull prospect went to Dan Floor of Marmath, N.D. The high selling Balancer bull was lot 33, a son of Gilchrist High Capacity 8068 went to Paul Fischer of Hauge, ND for $5,500.
