Limousin results from 2009 Sioux Empire Farm Show
Cory Schrag of Marion, SD judged the Sioux Empire Farm Show Limousin Show Thursday, Jan. 29, in Sioux Falls, SD.
Schrag chose lot 5, TLC Ultra Flex, a consignment from TLC Cattle Co. of Sioux Rapids, IA, as champion bull. He was sired by BOHI Roberto 88R and out of TLC Peekaboo 41P. He sold for $2,200, to Chad Roelfs of Sanborn, IA.
Reserve champion bull went to lot 8, LFLC Tuxedo, a consignment from Ludens Family Limousin of Viborg, SD. He was sired by RPLF No Fear 960N and out of LFLC Jackie 150J. He sold for $2,200 to Mike Slaba of Geddes, SD.
Schrag chose lot 4, Lady Brun 1254T, a consignment from Bruner Limousin of Winfred, SD, as champion female. She was sired by Carrousels MVP and out of Lady Brun 659M. She went on to be the high selling female, going for $1,850 to Brad Rops of Davis, SD.
Schrag chose lot 1, Miss SYES Lodestar 355U, as reserve champion female. She was consigned by Symens Bros. Limousin of Amherst, SD. She was sired by JCL Lodestar 27L and out of Miss SYES Pure Pow 354S. She sold for $1,500 to Crystal Bosek of Garfield, MN.
Chisum Peterson of Pukwana, SD served as auctioneer for the Limousin Sale. He sold five bulls and two females. Five bulls averaged $2,460 and the two females averaged $1,675.
