Lincoln County 4-H volunteer honor with state award

BOZEMAN, MT – Tina Taurman of Trego, MT has been named the Montana 4-H Foundation’s Outstanding 4-H Alumni. The award was announced at the Montana 4-H Congress at Montana State University in July.
Taurman, office manager for North Country Medical Clinic, has been a 4-H volunteer for 19 years and before that a 4-H member herself.
“Not only is Tina an advocate for healthy lifestyles in her professional life, she also dedicates much of her volunteer time to this cause,” wrote Thea Borgen, Lincoln County 4-H council president as she recommended Taurman for the award.
Taurman is organizational leader for the Trego Trailblazers 4-H Club, has served on the county 4-H Council and volunteers during 4-H fairs and other events.
In addition to 4-H, she has been a school board member and volunteer at the Trego School, works with the Sunburst Foundation to bring cultural activities to the Tobacco Valley, and is a volunteer youth mentor working with Families in Partnership. She has been instrumental in organizing community health fairs. Taurman is on the Lincoln Electric Cooperative Board of Trustees.
