Mangen Angus Annual Bull Sale

Scott Dirk, Dan Piroutek & Doug Hogan
Diane and Gary Sandage, Sandage Angus Ranch from Gordon, NE, purchased the high-selling bull, Lot 85, for $17,000.

Mangen Angus Ranch, held their annual bull sale on April 28, 2011 at the Belle Fourche Livestock Exchange, Belle Fourche, SD.

Once again the bulls were in great working condition. They were not over-fed and will go out to work in the breeding pasture without falling apart. These bulls have never seen creep feed, they excel on mother’s milk and the hard native grasses of southeast Montana. They are fed for a moderate 3-pound gain in the lot, emphasizing structural soundness and testicular development. These bulls should gain weight in the breeding pasture over the summer and produce scale-topping calves next fall.

This was a fast-paced sale, and since the bulls sold in catalog order by sire group, there were excellent bulls throughout the sale, with many top-selling bulls sold in the later part of the day. The Mangens have an excellent following of loyal customers, with good reason. Not only do the bulls work, but the Mangen Angus guarantee – which is the best there is. These bulls are fully guaranteed for one year, no matter what!
