Matt Maher and Hawk Nelson to perform at 2015 Wyo. State Fair

The Wyoming State Fair is proud to announce that Matt Maher and Hawk Nelson will be performing in the Wyoming State Fair Grandstands on Wednesday, August 12 starting at 7p.m.

Matt Maher is a two-time GRAMMY nominee and brings his vibrant live show to the Wyoming State Fair. Maher is most known for popular hits including "Hold Us Together," "Your Grace is Enough," "Christ is Risen," and "Turn Around." Maher's newest album showcases Maher's storied career thus far. The songs read more like chapters in his autobiography than a typical album track listing. The album breaks the barriers a studio can provide and allows fans to see Maher as not only as a gifted songwriter but also a worship leader and skilled teacher.

"Matt Maher is an incredibly engaging performer with a great following and we are excited for him to come to the Wyoming State Fair stage." said James Goodrich, director of the Wyoming State Fair. "We're excited to continue the momentum from last year by bringing in such a talented performer."

Opening for Maher will be Hawk Nelson, a powerhouse, pop rock band originally from Canada that has released seven studio projects. They have produced a three-week No. 1 single with the song "Made" on CHR radio and have been awarded two Canadian GMA awards. They have charted several No. 1 hits with "Everything You Ever Wanted" spending nine weeks at the top of the CHR radio charts and "Let's Dance" spent two weeks at the top of the rock radio charts. Their current single is called "Drops in the Ocean," and their newest record Diamonds will be released March 17.

"Hawk Nelson is a high energy group whom we believe our attendees will thoroughly enjoy," said Goodrich. "We really look forward to Matt Maher and Hawk Nelson being in Douglas for the Wyoming State Fair to offer top notch family entertainment."

The Wyoming State Fair is a showcase of Wyoming agriculture and industries. Stationed in Douglas, Wyoming since 1905, the State Fair also represents Wyoming heritage and culture with a focus on education, competition, and entertainment for all ages. The 103nd Wyoming State Fair will be held August 8-15, 2015. For more information on the Wyoming State Fair, visit http://www.wystatefair.com.
