McPherson Angus 2012 Production Sale
Luke McPherson brought a very nice set of bulls to Philip Livestock for his 5th annual production sale.
As a smaller breeder, getting a good start in the purebred business is essential. Improvements are noticed from year-to-year, and were appreciated by the buyers that came to purchase Angus bulls and quality replacement heifers at the sale.
This set of bulls should add length, depth of body, carcass and maternal traits to the buyer’s cowherds. They were in good working condition and should go on to service a good number of cows without falling apart.
The disposition on this set of bulls was really worth something. All bulls were calm and relaxed and when walking through the pens; most came to meet you at the gate looking to be scratched.
The top-selling bull was Lot 1, MAR Sitting Bull 101, a Dec. 23, 2011 son of Werner War Party 2417.
