Medicine Rocks Ranch, owned and operated by Frank and Charlene Mehling, continues to raise bulls that fit in any operation. Bulls were in excellent condition as they use Midland Bull Test in Columbus, MT. The bulls are not overfed – just a good balanced ration to grow up on.

They keep the commercial cattlemen in mind with bulls that have great structural soundness, longevity, thick deep ribbed with fleshing ability and good dispositions. This is done by culling which has come more easily this past year due to extreme winter and spring conditions. Last year cows that didn’t perform and raise a good calf were sold. The ranch’s selection of sires has made for good birth weights and a very uniform set of bulls.

Top selling bull of the sale was shared by two bulls at $3,500 apiece. Lot 14, a son of HA Image Maker 04165, sold to Six Creek Farm of Ekalaka, MT. Lot 24, a son of Connealy Front Page 0228, sold to Steve Rosencranz of Hammond, MT.

Lot 42 was the next top seller at $3,200. This son of BC Mid Emblazon 854E 702 sold to Tim Tooke of Ekalaka, MT.

Lot 34, another BC Mid Emblazon son, sold for $3,100 to LT Ranch of Wibaux, MT.

Lot 12, a son of Mytty In Focus, sold for $3,000 to Cole Bros. of Alzada, MT.

Lot 45, another BC Mid Emblazon son, also sold for $3,000 to Six Creek Farm.
