Millar Angus – Deep Creek Angus – McPherson Angus

Dan Piroutek
The seats were packed.

Millar Angus, Deep Creek Angus and McPherson Angus hosted an absolutely packed house for their annual bull sale at Philip Livestock. The weather was nearly perfect with temperatures hovering around 60 degrees, with no wind! A wonderful day to walk through the pens, evaluating the bulls.

The buzz word for these operations is customer relations – a big share of these bulls sold to repeat buyers. These breeding programs seem to compliment each other well. They work hard to satisfy their customers, and by the size of the crowd, I believe their program is working.

Jon Millar of Millar Angus, and TJ Gabriel of Deep Creek Angus, and their young families had put together an excellent opportunity for cattlemen with the nice addition of select open and bred females from some of their good customers. The bulls on sale day looked outstanding, with the bidding staying very strong from start to finish.
