Mogck & Sons Angus – 26th Annual Production Sale

Dan Piroutek

Mogck & Sons Angus of Olivet, owned by Charles and LeAndra Mogck, hosted one of the bigger crowds of the spring for their 26th annual production sale. The Mogck farmstead is a true show place for South Dakota. The chores are all done on time! The bulls are all penned on grass before the sale, and with the Mogck hospitality, the buyers are more than ready to bid and buy at sale time.

This year’s set of bulls were especially strong on the front end, with many of the good bulls being sired by their home raised herd sire, Mogck Whispering Wind, an outcross calving ease bull that sires a lot of length. He had 11 sons in the sale that averaged $6,822.
