January 24, 2011
BILLINGS, MT – The 35th annual Montana Agri-Trade Exposition (MATE Show) will again feature the Bull Pen Preview presented by the Northern Ag Network, Feb. 17-19 at MetraPark in Billings, MT. Entries are now being accepted into the office for cattle breeders to participate in this year’s showcase.
The MATE show is the largest agricultural trade show in Montana drawing over 12,000 people each year from across the region. The Bull Pen Preview presented by the Northern Ag Network offers tremendous exposure to breeders wishing to promote their genetics and program to commercial, purebred and registered producers that attend the show.
Cattle are allowed into the pens for all three days of the show, but not required to be there for the entirety. The pens are available as early as Thursday morning and until 4 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. This is not a halter show, but an opportunity for Bull Pen Exhibitors to visit with potential customers face to face and for them to view the cattle.
The will be two sizes of pens offered. A 12-ft. by 12-ft. pen for $100 (max capacity is three head of yearlings) or 12-ft. by 24-ft. pens for $175 (max capacity is six head of yearlings). Herd sires, or other aged bulls, are allowed as long as they are comfortable being around people and being penned up while on exhibit. Pen assignments will be done on a first come, first serve basis.
